Odd Markings

Well, here's one that's a real puzzler. The diagram shows a series of engraved markings found on this plate position. (A second copy is shown to prove it is a constant variety.) They certainly appear to be the result of some sort of misplaced transfer roll incident, but since they occur on three sides of the design, this is not a simple misplaced entry.

It would be most valuable to locate this stamp in a block showing the stamps on the surrounding sides.
